How relief reached families on the ground
Free Community Kitchens
Freshly cooked meals served daily across multiple affected villages, peaking near 1,000 meals a day.
Emergency Ration Kits
Dry food and ration kits distributed to 750 severely affected families across 12 villages.
Grocery Support
Additional dry ration and grocery aid for ~330 poor and daily-wage families who lost their livelihood.
Sanitation & Disinfection
Bleaching powder and disinfectants applied as floodwaters receded, alongside community cleanliness drives.
Rapid Needs Assessment
Field-level surveys to identify the most vulnerable families and their most urgent requirements.

Second Wave of Flood — A Fresh Crisis
Heavy rainfall has brought a second high flood in the Brahmani and Baitarani rivers. Temporary sand embankments built after the first breach have washed away, and families who had just begun rebuilding are being displaced again.
